Our Pirate Ship Adventure

Here is a picture of the pirate ship that we cruised on and also a picture of mommy as she got knives thrown at her and yes they were real knives. It was quite scary for her. We all had a great time on the Black Dragon Pirate Ship.

Thursday afternoon we went on a Pirate Cruise on the Black Dragon Pirate Ship. Allison became a pirate after learning how to clean the deck, pistol fight (water guns of course), sword fight, get face mustaches and tattoos (of a Caterpillar, not sure why but that is what she wanted). It was a great show and Allison really enjoyed it.

Our Fishing Trip

Thursday we went on a boat ride and fishing trip. Right off the bat Allison caught a fish. It was a snapper. She then caught a trout and another snapper. We decided that daddy and Peeps needed to take Alli out fishing with them everyday as they haven't brought home many fish and maybe she could show them a few tips. Here are a couple of pictures of the boat ride and fishing. The pictures of the fish are on another camera so will be posted later.

Fun at the Beach

This morning we went to the beach. It was so much fun, we built sandcastles, played in the waves, and found lots of shells. Then we came back to swim in the pool for a little while. Here are some pictures to show how much fun we had.

South Padre Island Lighthouse

We went to visit the Lighthouse today. The girls were too little to climb to the top so we just viewed it from the outside and then found a dolphin to ride on.

South Padre Island Sea Turtles

Today, we went to see the Sea Turtles which are on the endangered list. The girls really enjoyed seeing the turtles. Here are a few pictures of them and the turtles.

The Hock Family Reunion

Before we started on our trip to South Padre Island (SPI), we spent the day at Great Memaw's family reunion in Brownwood. We enjoyed getting to see everyone and had a good day playing. Here are a few pictures of us enjoying the day.

Backyard Fun

Here are the girls swimming the back yard in their fun pool. They love to swim and then play at the beach, which is what Allison calls the sand box.

Allison the Super Swimmer…

Allison took private swim lessons this May with a really great teacher, Jesse. She listened to him and learned so much. Here are a few pictures. She worked on the crawl, the back stroke and diving for sticks as well as floating on her back and treading water. She is our little fish. Hannah is a little fish too. They both love to swim at the Y.

Good Friday

Allison got her ears pierced on Good Friday after we went to the zoo with Granny Donna. It was a really fun and eventful day. She was such a big girl and didn’t cry at all, we were so proud. Here she is showing off her new earrings.
